To celebrate 40 years of the iconic HST, the first production power car was chosen to be repainted into its original (and arguably the best) livery. Fittingly, it was named the train's designer, "Sir Kenneth Grange", at the St Philips Marsh Open Day on 2 May 2016.
On 28 May 2016 it arrived at Didcot Parkway with 1C10 10.27 London Paddington to Weston-super-Mare.
